What does the extra $10 buy?
At the checked US PlayStation prices, Digital Deluxe costs $10 more. That difference buys Wulin Legend and Blood-Steel Form appearances, the digital artbook and soundtrack. Both editions include the full game. This is a comparison of listed contents, not a review of their quality.
If you want only the game, Standard includes it. If you want the listed extras, compare that bundle with the price difference in your own region. If performance determines whether you buy, wait for testing on your platform.
Pre-order bonuses are a separate decision: Treasure Basin and Legacy are early unlocks that can also be obtained through progression. An early item unlock is not early access to the game.
Should you wait for reviews or a physical edition?

If performance or finished-game quality will decide for you, waiting for reviews or platform-specific benchmarks is reasonable. Look for the platform, settings and test conditions before applying a benchmark to your own PC. What are the Phantom Blade Zero pre-order bonuses?
Both editions list the same two pre-order early unlocks: the Treasure Basin accessory and the Legacy outfit. These bonuses are separate from the two Deluxe-exclusive outfits, Wulin Legend and Blood-Steel Form, and the digital artbook and soundtrack.
The announced pre-order items are Treasure Basin and Legacy. S-GAME describes these as early unlocks and says they can also be obtained through game progression. Keep that distinction separate from the Deluxe-exclusive appearances.
Early unlock refers to receiving these items sooner during progression, not permission to start playing before release. The edition list does not establish a separate early-play date or a regional pre-order cutoff; check your selected store for those terms.
If the early-unlock items are your only reason to pre-order, consider whether receiving them earlier matters to you. The official description does not say they are lost forever when pre-orders end.
Check that any offer you are looking at is for the same platform, region and edition. Store-specific promotions can have separate conditions.

Which Phantom Blade Zero edition should you buy?
- Start with Standard if your priority is playing the game and you do not want the listed digital extras.
- Consider Deluxe if you independently value the appearances, artbook and soundtrack enough to pay the local price difference.
- Wait for more evidence if your decision depends on reviews or performance on your hardware.

Can I buy it to try the combat, then refund it?

- Steam: the standard game policy is a request within 14 days and less than two hours of playtime. For a pre-purchase that cannot be played before release, Valve says you can request a refund before release and the standard period starts on release. Other pre-release access has additional playtime rules. Valve does not refund third-party key purchases.
- PlayStation Store (US support page): the standard game checklist requires a request within 14 days and no download or streaming, except faulty-content cases. Pre-orders have separate timing rules; downloading or preloading the main content can affect eligibility.
